PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 26th 2020, Wien

After having more preparation time than expected Lukas Dunner kicks off the 2020 racing season. He races FIA Formula 3 for MP Motorsport and the Euroformula Open. His calendar reads 34 races in 23 weeks, starting July 3rd to 5th at the Austrian Red Bull Ring, supporting the Formula 1 race.

The Covid shutdown led to an extended preparation time, which Lukas Dunner made good use of: after finishing school he put all his effort into physical exercise, simulator training, driver's training on various surfaces, single-seater testing and rallye testing. Prepared as such, he is ready to race FIA Formula 3 for MP Motorsport as well as Euroformula Open (tbd). All in all he competes in 34 races on 17 weekends in the upcoming 23 weeks. His goal is to make as many racing miles as he can and make the most of what he has learned so far.

"We've had 3 months more of preparation. I finished school in May and now I'm hungry to finally race full-time. I get to race my home track, the Red Bull Ring, three times this year which is great because it's also one of my favourite circuits. Two of the races will take part supporting Formula 1, which is very exciting." - Lukas Dunner
