Time to think

I hope that we all come through these difficult times well, especially those who have lost their loved ones. I mean, this is mainly about those who are really affected by this pandemic, who are all worried about money, not knowing how they will survive the crisis.

I am extremely lucky and actually have no reason to complain because I live in one of the better-managed countries in the world, but somehow it scares me too. I’m afraid of what will be different afterwards, how it will affect my own personal dreams and my life. Us young racer drivers live in a tunnel, everything happens at a rapid pace, where we have or take very little time to think about other things in life. Obviously, I’ll get to that now, sometimes more than I would like – and in the end that’s a good thing.

For now, I have my final exams in May and consequently, a lot to do for school, train more than ever to be as prepared as I can for the restart, thinking about all of this, converting fear into performance is my motivation. I wish everyone survives this crisis well and can hardly wait to get back into the race car as fast as possible, a place without so many thoughts, only the feelings; the sensation of the power, the smell and the sound of racing.
